Breast Reduction: Easing Discomfort, Improving Body Balance

Breast reduction surgery, medically termed reduction mammaplasty, is a transformative procedure for women experiencing physical discomfort or emotional distress due to overly large breasts. This operation reduces breast size while improving shape and position, addressing both aesthetic concerns and health-related issues.

Breast reduction, or reduction mammaplasty, is a surgical procedure that removes excess breast tissue, fat, and skin to decrease breast size and improve shape. Performed under general anesthesia, the surgery typically takes 2-4 hours, depending on the extent of reduction required and the specific technique used

    Balancing Form and Function

Many women seek relief from the physical and emotional burden of overly large breasts. Disproportionately large breasts can lead to chronic pain, poor posture, skin irritation, and limitations in physical activities. Breast reduction surgery offers a solution by removing

excess breast tissue and skin, resulting in smaller, more proportionate breasts that are also lifted and reshaped.

    -Treatable Conditions

Disproportionately large breasts (macromastia) Chronic neck, back, and shoulder pain

Poor posture due to breast weight and limitations in physical activities Skin irritation or rashes under the breasts

    Difficulty finding properly fitting clothing

Initial swelling and discomfort are normal and typically subside within a few weeks Most patients return to work within 1-2 weeks, depending on job requirements Full recovery and final results may take 3-6 months

Scarring will fade over time but is permanent. Keep in mind that all the scar will be hidden under the bra.

Future breast changes due to weight fluctuations or pregnancy may affect results. Smoking should be ceased 2 weeks prior to surgery and during the recovery period
