Chest Reconstruction Surgery (Female to Male “Top Surgery”)
Female to male chest reconstruction surgery is a gender-affirming surgical procedure that modifies the chest to create a more masculine appearance for transgender men and non- binary individuals.
Masculinizing chest reconstruction involves:
- Mastectomy: removal of all female breast tissue
- Liposuction: removal of fat associated with female breast tissue
- Nipple adjustment: removal and reposition to a lower, more masculine location; includes reduction of the size of each areola
- Chest contouring: reshaping of the pectoral muscles to create a more defined male chest
